This is an exciting time to be joining the largest NHS Board in Scotland as we implement our transformational healthcare strategy, ‘Moving Forward Together’, which is underway to ensure delivery of better health and healthcare outcomes for the population of Greater Glasgow and Clyde. We are seeking to appoint a new Chief Risk Officer who will bring extensive risk management experience and professional expertise to this role.
You will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of the Board’s Risk Management Strategy, policies and procedures, providing managerial and professional leadership for Risk Management across the Board’s activities. This post will deliver high standards of risk management, including the on-going review and implementation of the Board’s risk management strategy and risk registers.
The postholder will be responsible for the continuing development of a proactive risk management culture and reporting throughout the organisation and supporting the Board to realise its vision for risk management where Risk Management is embedded into everyday business and is integral to all Board activities.
The post holder will lead and manage the risk management policy and risk management systems across the organisation.
We are looking for an engaging and inspiring individual who, can challenge conventional thinking, embrace change and has a genuine desire to continuously improve risk management processes.
The Chief Risk Officer will bring experience of developing and implementing effective risk management strategies, systems and processes; leading performance improvement programmes; excellent people skills, and the ability to work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
