Lead Clinician 3 Posts (Various Networks)

The Post/ Candidate
In line with Scottish Government Health and Social Care Directorates guidance, National Services Division (NSD) is seeking to appoint three enthusiastic and highly motivated Lead Clinicians for three separate networks. The appointments are for a fixed term of three years.
The following networks are each recruiting a Lead Clinician:
• The National Gender Identity Clinical Network Scotland (NGICNS)
• The Network for Inherited Cardiac Conditions – Genetics Lead (NICCS)
• The Scottish Obstetric Cardiology Network (SOCN)
These are key strategic roles in promoting and driving forward the development of effective, integrated, multidisciplinary services for each clinical network throughout Scotland. In these sessional appointments the postholder will work closely with clinical and other stakeholders and NSD colleagues.
Applicants will be leaders in their clinical field with experience in the provision and development of clinical services. A proven record in leading change, ability to work across traditional organisational, geographical and professional boundaries and a demonstrable understanding of the ethos of managed clinical networks are essential.
Applicants must have a current substantive role as an NHS Scotland employee and have the support of their Clinical Director for this post to be incorporated into their job plan.
The posts for the National Gender Identity Clinical Network Scotland (NGICNS) and
the Network for Inherited Cardiac Conditions is a sessional commitment of one programmed activity (PA’s) to reflect the Network requirements. The post for the Scottish Obstetric Cardiology Network (SOCN) is for of two PA’s for the first year followed by 1PA for the remainder of the term. The posts are offered on a secondment basis.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme/Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Candidates must have current NMC/GMC/GDC/HCPC registration at the time of applying.

Various Locations .
Up to 2 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
