Training Programme Director- Trainee Support- East/South-East of Scotland
Hours: Part Time, 3 PA’s (12 hours per week)- job share applications are welcome

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
Applications are invited from experienced General Practice educators to join the team delivering General Practice Education and Support within the East and South-East regions of the Scotland Deanery.
The postholder will perform an active role within GP Training in supporting Trainees who require additional input to successfully complete training. This will involve trainees with performance issues in the workplace, examination failure, health issues, disability and those requiring general support measures. The post will also involve development and delivery of courses for Examination support for all trainees across Scotland and support of the GP STEP programme. Other facets of the role are described in the job description.
This role will involve being an active member of the East and South-East Region GP TPD/ Associate Adviser teams with regular contact and liaison with colleagues across Scotland with similar GP trainee support roles as well as the Assistant Director responsible for Trainee Support.
