This is an exciting opportunity to work at an Advanced Practice level as a specialist clinical pharmacist in the Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). This will be a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the service while the post holder is on maternity leave and allow development of unique expertise in this field.  The team looks after approximately 400 patients across Scotland with pulmonary vascular disease, both as inpatients in the QEUH site and as outpatients at QEUH and the Golden Jubilee National Hospital.
You will be a patient focused clinical practitioner and be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, prescribing, advising, and promoting the safe effective use of medicines. The post holder will work closely with the team to continue to develop guidelines and encourage local provision of care where possible for patients across Scotland liaising with homecare companies and local primary care contractors.
The post holder will work closely with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Medical Specialties to provide a constant, equitable, high quality clinical pharmacy service.  You should be an Independent Prescriber and have a clinical pharmacy MSc/ Diploma or equivalent experience. It is desirable to have experience in respiratory medicine, but appropriate training can be provided.
