The Pharmacy Deanery, within the Medical Directorate, has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and development of postgraduate Pharmacy Education in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced candidate ready to contribute to a busy innovative area of work.
What you'll do
You will provide full administrative support primarily to the workstream delivering on the Additional Cost of Teaching in Pharmacy (ACTp) which supports the initial education and training of pharmcists in Scotland. You will also provide support to the wider NES Pharmacy Team when required. Tasks will include managing communications and contact across pharmacy settings and groups, creating and managing large data sets and spreadsheets and the interaction with Turas, the NES centralised platform for digital products and services. You will also support event/meeting planning/organization by attending (via teams and in person) delivering minute/note taking; arranging training materials (mainly digital). Other tasks will include updating training and spend data/information and elements of diary management. You will be a main communication contact for the Pharmacy Team providing flexible support across the wider workstreams.
What you'll bring
You will be a confident individual with a range of administrative experience and be able to demonstrate a wide range of relevant skills including working experience of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Word and Teams. Experience of balancing multiple deadlines and tasks is essential as is the focus on attention to detail. Due to the emphasis on communication within this national role, we require excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to self organise/prioritise within a busy working environment and respond flexibly and proactively to the work requirements. Previous experience of working with digital solutions will be advantageous.
