The shift pattern for this position is a mix of 12 hour shifts and core hours.

You will provide clinical and professional leadership to Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP’s) within the Emergency Department, Acute Assessment and Ambulatory Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

You will develop a lead coordination role for clinical governance within the ANP service and operationally and clinically manage the ANP team.
You will develop and deliver sustainable services which meet patients needs and utilise expert knowledge base and clinical competence, to support multi-professional teams, ensuring a high standard of clinical care, in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and health and safety legislation;

You will work within the agreed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the ANP service, perform clinical assessment, initiate investigations, determine differential diagnosis and undertake appropriate first line interventions
You will provide leadership, clinical support and advice to nursing and medical staff, making appropriate referrals to, and co-ordinating the contribution of other members of the multi-professional team and facilitate, participate in audit and quality assurance programmes, promoting evidence based practice.​​​​​​​
