This is a Fixed term post for 12 months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support our team. We are looking for a qualified Health Play Specialist to join our team of Health Play Specialist and Health Play Assistants and Play Support Workers for a period of 12 months. We work across both inpatient and outpatient areas and provide support to children and young people from birth – 16 years accessing our services at The Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow.

We are looking for a Health Play Specialist who is committed to the delivery of compassionate high quality care and has the skills to implement specialised play input to support the children, young people and families during their hospital visit.

The successful candidate will undertake, normalising and developmental play as well as being able to provide a high level of procedural support to our patients before, during and after hospital procedures.

We are looking for someone who is able to work on their own initiative and who is adaptable and flexible. We value team members who are resourceful, committed and can be an active part of our vision for the future.

Please note only applicants who hold a recognized Health Play Specialist qualification will be considered.
