The shift pattern is Monday to Sunday rotational.

Applications are invited from Registered Nurses trained in general nursing or adult nursing of the NMC register to join our enthusiastic and innovative team within NNHS GG&C Renal Services Transplant & Surgical Ward. This post is full time.

Ward 4C comprises of 15 beds, 5 for transplantation and a further 10 beds for vascular access and other renal related surgeries.
You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team. You will maintain effective communication with patients, relatives/carers and other team members to ensure that appropriate information is shared and patient needs are met. You will have the ability to work to high clinical standards. You will be required to flexible, forward thinking and able to work effectively within a changing environment.  
Previous dialysis experience is desirable but not essential, training will be provided.

As well as having current NMC registration it is also essential you have evidence of professional development, basic IT skills, good communication skills and enthusiasm for working with the Transplant and Surgical Ward. As part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s pre-employment checking for all appointed candidates evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date. This post also requires PVG scheme membership/disclosure Scotland check.

This post is 12hrs rotational shift pattern, Monday to Sunday. ​​​​​​​
