An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Mechanical Technician within the Estates Department – North Sector.
Following completion of a recognised apprenticeship and having gained extensive experience in this field, you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of engineering services within the hospital environment and community premises. You should be able to demonstrate versatility in a range of work. A City & Guilds Craft Certificate/Level 3 Certificate, or equivalent for the trade is essential. Experience in building services within a hospital environment including heating ventilation, air conditioning, decontamination and sterilising equipment would be an advantage.
You will also be required to take part in an on call rota/night shift rota and be able to work at other hospitals within Ayrshire to meet the demands of the service. Due to the requirement to participate in an on call rota it is desirable that the successful applicant should live no more than 30 minutes travelling time from the hospital.
A car driver/owner essential.
Hours: 37.5 per week (8.00am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.30pm Friday).
