An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and experienced multidisciplinary team. The Cardiac Rhythm Management Service has undergone an exciting and rapid expansion period over the last three years, and we are in need an experienced clerical officer to support the service.

The team has a large follow-up service, with approximately 1350 patients.  

The service includes routine clinical appointments; remote/ virtual clinics and the implantation of implantable cardiac devices.

​​​​​​​The clerical role would include:


· Organising the waiting list for cardiac implantable devices (including liaising with

  consultant   cardiologists, nurses, physiologists, theatre staff and pre-op staff).

· Appointing patients to theatre (including letters to patients, phone calls to patients

  with   information on preparation for surgery and times for admission).

· Booking and organising the appointment/ appointment schedule.

· Booking and organising the appointment/ appointment schedule for remote

  monitoring/ virtual clinics.

· Telephone calls - answer and deal with all telephone calls/ messages.

· Manage Netcall (cardiology emails).

· Notes (filing, retrieving notes, making up new patient files).

· Using electronic systems trakcare, clinical portal, emails.

· Data input into device database (EKORA).

· Minute taking at multidisciplinary meetings/ device meetings.



The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.
