The Willow Service is seeking to recruit a 1 WTE female Principal Clinical Psychologist.
Willow is a partnership between City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian.
Our multidisciplinary team work with women at all stages of the criminal justice system and aims: to reduce offending; improve health and well being; and improve access to services. offers a range of bespoke individual and group work services.
This is an opportunity for a committed individual to be involved in an exciting initiative aiming to increase access to psychological interventions for women involved in the criminal justice system. The post holder will be expected to work across two settings: HMP Edinburgh and the Willow Centre in Edinburgh.
The post holder will provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and individual and group mental health related interventions for women with a range of multiple and complex needs. The role will also involve consultancy, supervision and training with a range of staff groups including: criminal justice social work and Scottish Prison Service officers and will require excellent team working and leadership skills. The post holder will have the opportunity to be involved in service development and research evaluating the initiative.
The post holder will join an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team that already includes Clinical Psychology and Criminal Justice Social Work.
As we are seeking a female worker, this post is exempt under section 7e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
