The Pharmacy Department, within the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is integrated across its multiple services and the pharmacist in this post will work to provide safe, effective and person centred care for every patient, every time. They will work in collaboration with our friendly and supportive pharmacy team, and will be a critical part of the wider multidisciplinary teams. Our patient-led approach to healthcare encourages an ethos that is open, questioning and participative; everyone is encouraged to speak out and be actively involved in the quest for continuous improvement and innovation.
This is an exciting time to join our Pharmacy team as we develop our clinical services and try innovative ways of working. As part of the Scottish Government’s £200 million investment to meet demand for elective procedures, our services are expanding to treat more patients than ever before, and the Pre-Assessment Lead Pharmacist will play a critical role in ensuring this is achieved.
You will be responsible for leading the pre-assessment pharmacy service across NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, whilst reviewing patient pathways and considering new ways of working and methods of service delivery. You will provide expert advice to the broader healthcare team, provide leadership to the clinical pharmacy team and deliver highly specialist, yet collaborative, pre-assessment pharmacy services to patients in line with our local policies.
You will be an integral part of the senior pharmacy team and will work with the Director of Pharmacy and Associate Director of Pharmacy to deliver the pharmacy vision for NHS Golden Jubilee and will support the development of the wider pharmacy team and the pharmacy services too.
