As Support Analyst you will be a key member of staff working on day to day support of screening applications across NHS Greater Glasgow and . This role is within the eHealth Direct User Support organisation based at Westward House Paisley. You will be a team member of four staff as part of the Contractor, National & Screening Services team. You will be expected to investigate and resolve issues and queries around patient data and link in with various clinical and technical colleagues. You will also be required to assist on the implementation of system upgrades and therefore a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 is essential. Tasks will include the monitoring of system performance, availability and capacity requirement. You will need knowledge of complex data structures with an emphasis on SQL databases. Excellent communication skills are essential to this post as you will be liaising with clinical staff, senior management and external agencies/suppliers. You will be required to keep abreast of the latest IT application innovations to ensure appropriate technology is utilised. A wide range of technical platforms and software environments are used by screening applications requiring knowledge of the following technologies: - SQL, Microsoft.NET, JavaScript, ASP.NET, HTML, Visual Basic, XML and MS Access.

The hours of this post are worked 9.00am to 5.00pm.
