Applications are invited from suitably experience technologists for the post of Clinical Engineering Technologist within the Clinical Engineering Section of the Medical Physics Department. The post holder will be, for the most part, involved in the repair, maintenance and testing of patient related appliances in a community setting and may be required to participate in an on-call rota service to clients. A vehicle will be available to carry out this role.
Candidates should ideally possess experience in Portable Appliance Testing and a City and Guilds or HNC in a relevant technical subject but consideration will be given to candidates who possess relevant recognised experience working within an engineering environment.
The Clinical Engineering Section provides clinical, scientific and technical services to NHS Tayside and external clients.
This Band 5, 3 year fixed term post will be a part of the Clinical Engineering Mechanical Section. Technical Team, comprising of a Band 7 Team Leader, Band 6 Specialist Clinical Engineering (Mechanical) Technologists, other 5 Band 5 Clinical Engineering (Mechanical) Technologist providing clients with a comprehensive repair, maintenance and support service.
