As part of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and provided within Renfrewshire Learning Disability family of services is an integrated health and social care specialist team for adults with learning disabilities. Specialist Learning Disability Services are part of a whole system approach across the six Health and Social Care Partnerships within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and include Specialist In-patient Services. Renfrewshire Learning Disability MD Team Includes: Operational Management, Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Community Learning Disability Nurses, Health Care Support Workers, Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Senior Social Worker, Social Workers and Administration staff.
The post-holder will be expected to work as an integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team to fulfil Learning Disability Service key functions:
It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have experience working with people with learning disabilities. The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
- Health and Social Care Needs Assessment
- Highly specialist clinical interventions for people with learning disability and co-occuring conditions
- Provide Person Centred Standards of Care
- Promoting and supporting mental well-being and prevention of relapse
- Advice, guidance and signposting
