NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is the largest NHS Board in Scotland. We provide strategic leadership and performance management for the entire local NHS system in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area ensuring that services are delivered effectively and efficiently. This role offers a unique and rewarding career opportunity within one of the biggest Digital & eHealth teams in NHS Scotland. The eHealth Directorate employs 1,600 staff who deliver large-scale operational IT/eHealth services, Information Management, Health Records services, Knowledge Services (this post), Information Governance and Innovation and Digital Transformation programmes. It is an exciting development prospect for an experienced and enthusiastic Knowledge Manager/ Librarian to work with a newly created team focusing on the implementation and benefits which can be derived from improved Digital Literacy, largely focussed on M365 but also working on the wider needs of digital skills.
Role
The role will be responsible for
- Prioritising the creation and leading of our digital champions network
- Co-ordinating the evaluating of digital skills within the board and working with others to identify / create solutions
- Roll out and implementation of the NHS Scotland Business Classification Scheme
- Working with other eHealth teams, other departments within NSHGGC, and across Scotland to create a co-ordinate approach to meeting the Digital Skills Programme requirements within the NHSGGC Digital on Demand Strategy
- Communication and engagement across NHSGGC to promote digital literacy, and the use of tools such as M365 by keeping up to date with advancements and use cases.
- Becoming the go to experts around the development and use of M365 to benefit our user base, to create more efficient processes and generate savings for NHSGGC
- Evaluation of the role within NHSGGC, and succession planning.
The successful applicant will be integral to the Digital Skills Programme of work. Willing to be ‘hands-on’ and working across all areas within eHealth in NHSGGC and beyond. The successful applicant will work closely with the M365 and Digital Skills (Technical) teams, and Proactive Facilitators.
