​​​​​​​We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self motivated person with excellent interpersonal skills and an organized approach to take on the role of Health & Corporate Record Services Manager.  The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior Health Records Management Team. The role will have responsibility for service delivery and quality control with particular focus on achieving national and local deadlines with regard to Legal and Litigation requests, Mental Health Act Administration and Scottish Morbidity Record (SMR) completion and submissions. 

Ideally, the successful candidate should hold the Institute of Health Record and Information Management (IHRIM) qualification or be prepared to achieve this and have extensive knowledge in health records with previous experience at Supervisory or Management level. A sound knowledge of Caldicott, Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation is required.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Standard Police Act Disclosure Scotland Check.

Candidates will be expected to give a 15-minute presentation on the following subject: What does a modern Health Record Service look like? Describe the varied functions and what methods you would use to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
