A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in the Acute stroke ward for enthusiastic, hard working, caring and compassionate clinical support workers to join our team.  The successful applicant will have a flexible approach to the role and will support the registered nursing staff in the delivery in high quality, patient centred care to patients throughout their stroke journey.  The successful applicant will provide both administrative and clinical support to ensure seamless patient care.  The aim of our service is to provide world class stroke care.

You should possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work well as part of a multi disciplinary team.  You must have a willingness and appetite for lifelong learning and advancing the role of the healthcare support worker in order to develop and enhance your own personal development. We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative but also know their own limitation. This post is rotational days/nights and the successful candidates will be expected to be flexible to meet the demands of the organisation.  Previous experience in a caring role is desirable but not essential.

The post holder will have the opportunity to learn stroke specific skills and will be supported in this.
