An exciting opportunity has a risen for a Band 7 Dietetics Advanced Practitioner to join the NHS Highland CAMHS service. For this new post we are looking to recruit a highly motivated Dietician with significant clinical experience in this area of work with CYPs who have a range mental health challenges. The majority of the work will fall within the presentations of Eating Disorders. There would be links to the Highland Dietetics team and other AHPs across Scotland.
CAMHS in north NHS Highland (Highland council region) is a specialist multi-disciplinary team based in Inverness, but providing clinics across a large rural geography. We also have clinicians based in more remote localities who are supported by the centrally based team. Primary mental health workers, employed by our partner agency Highland Council, are in place across Highland.
The post holder will be required to work within a Tier3/ 4 CAMH Service to offer an Dietetic service to children, young people and their families, who may have complex emotional, behavioural and social difficulties as well as acute mental health disorders. This new post is an opportunity to address the gap in our service and is an opportunity to develop a Dietetic service within CAMHS.
Highland offers many positive lifestyle opportunities, with both the benefits of rural living (including snow sports, hill walking, kayaking and more) and city life in Inverness allowing access to shopping, restaurants and theatre.
A full current driving licence and use of own car for work purposes is essential.
