Bank Reporting Radiographers DXA and MSK
Band 7
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology Department in Forth Valley Royal Hospital for keen and enthusiastic Reporting Radiographers with MSK and DXA reporting skills. Initially working alongside other Reporting Radiographers (1.6wte), then independently, with full support of the Management team and Clinical Lead.
The post holders will be required to ensure the delivery of a high quality, efficient and effective Radiographic Reporting Service, delivered via an autonomous and flexible arrangement.
The DXA service currently scans in the region of 1300 patients each year in Forth Valley, with the hope of expansion in the next 12-months. The DXA scanner currently on-site is a GE Lunar Prodigy Advance, with a view to planned replacement in the next 12-18 months. It is expected applicants have experience of using Vertebral Fracture Assessment software, along with a post graduate qualification in DXA Reporting.
The MSK Radiographer reporting service currently contributes to the reporting of all MSK images in Forth Valley, approximately 70% of all plain film imaging is MSK which equates to in the region of 68,000 MSK exams per year, and comes via Out-patient, In-patient, and ED referral routes. All plain films are acquired using Philips DR equipment under 3-years of age. It is expected applicants have achieved post graduate qualification in MSK Reporting.
It is anticipated that successful candidates will be an experienced Radiographers in possession of the DCR and/or BSc/BSc Hons in Diagnostic Radiography and will hold a Postgraduate qualification in one or more Radiographer Reporting disciplines as above.
Well-documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development and further role extension is required.
