Foundation Programme Director
East Region
Hours: Part Time, 1 PA (4 hours per week)
Duration: Fixed Term / Secondment for 36 months*

Salary Scale: Consultant, Associate Adviser or other appropriate payscale.
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Scotland Deanery is responsible for postgraduate medical education. We are delighted to encourage applications for a Foundation Programme Director based in the East Region. The Foundation Programme Director will be responsible for managing a Foundation Programme and the education and training needs of each individual on the programme (approximately 30 trainees).
This will be across 1 PA of time (1 PA = 4 hours).
Applications are invited from trained doctors in the East region of Scotland who are in a substantive NHS or University post. All applicants must confirm prior to interview that their employer would support a Service Level Agreement for this role within their job plan.
Some travel throughout Scotland may be required.
