An opportunity has arisen in the East Sector Estates Department for a suitably experienced Decontamination Maintenance/Test Technician.
A City & Guilds apprenticeship in an appropriate trade and educated to HNC level in Mechanical/Electrical engineering discipline is essential. Experience in building services within a hospital environment including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, decontamination would be an advantage.
Following completion of a recognised apprenticeship and having gained experience in this field, you will be part of a team reporting directly to the Mechanical Supervisor, responsible for the effective delivery of decontamination engineering testing and validation services within a hospital environment and across community premises.
You should be able to demonstrate versatility and experience on a range of complex mechanical engineering maintenance work task schedules in addition to being an effective communicator.
Based at University Hospital Crosshouse, you will also cover all community based properties within the East Sector.
A driving licence is essential for this post.
Hours: 37.5 per week (8.00am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.30pm Friday)
