NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde – Student Placement
The Property and Capital Planning Department is responsible for providing an integrated, efficient and effective capital planning, capital procurement, asset management, property and premises development function within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The team are responsible for developments throughout the Board’s responsibilities, and this includes approximately 35 hospitals, 60 health centres, 300 GP surgeries, 300 pharmacies and 270 dental locations. The Board employs approximately 44,000 staff and provides health services to a local population of around 1.2m plus a number of regional services.
Location
The placements will be based at the Admin Block at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, but the role will cover all sites across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The team are currently operating in a blended working system with elements of working from our office base and from other healthcare premises.
Role
You will help support the delivery of Project Management services to deliver projects from a programme of works of varying scale. The department has over 50 live projects at different stages of development at any one time. The projects include feasibility studies, refurbishment and new build developments for accommodation including offices, hospitals, health & care centres and mental health facilities. We are a multidisciplinary team comprising professionals from architecture, quantity surveying, civil engineering, property and asset management.
The placement will be for up to 6 months and working full time Monday to Friday as part of a 37.5 hour week
