Through an integrated management team East Renfrewshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) directly manages over 1000 health and care staff and works closely with independent NHS contractor services and third sector/independent sector social care providers. The HSCP also hosts the Specialist Learning Disability Inpatient Services, Autism Service and the Scottish Centre of Technology for the Communication Impaired (SCTCI) service on behalf of NHSGGC. The services within East Renfrewshire are community based with the exception of the inpatient wards for people with learning disabilities.
As the most senior nurse within East Renfrewshire Health HSCP you will have strategic leadership responsibility for ensuring the delivery of person centred, safe effective nursing services and clinical practice within the HSCP including our hosted services. This includes commissioning arrangements; providing direction and guidance on professional issues by establishing effective clinical and care governance arrangements; developing policy and establishing an effective and highly skilled nursing workforce to meet the needs of the population, all in accordance with the 20:20 Vision and Quality Strategy.
You will be a registered nurse educated to Masters level or 1St level degree with experience at a senior manager level working within the NHS. A proven track record of achievement in strategy, policy and practice development locally and nationally, along with the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships are essential.
Applicants should have an understanding of the national health and social care agenda in Scotland and a proven track record in utilising creative, strategic and innovative solutions to deliver it. The shift pattern for this post is 5 days over 7.
