LEAD CANCER CARE PHARMACIST - ONCOLOGY OUTPATIENTS

BAND 8A

Part-time 30hrs /Maternity leave cover up to 29/2/24

Salary Scale £56,992 to £61,522 per annum

 

We are looking for an experienced pharmacist to join our Oncology Pharmacy Team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness - Recent winners of Hospital Pharmacy Team of the year. The oncology pharmacy team at Raigmore Hospital provides specialist cancer services for NHS Highland as part of the North Cancer Alliance (NCA), treating patients with solid tumours and haematological malignancies. 

The position is for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist with experience in providing clinical pharmacy to cancer patients. The post-holder will work closely with senior colleagues to provide professional leadership in delivering cancer care and clinical pharmacy services to cancer patients. You will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary groups within the Cancer Care Team and work closely with the MDT to improve and maintain delivery of high quality pharmacy service. You will be responsible for:

Provision of leadership in delivering clinical pharmacy service to cancer patients

Leading on clinical guidelines and protocol developments and updates

Provision of prescribing, medicines management and professional advice relating to cancer treatment

Applicants should have cancer services experience and an independent prescriber qualification as well as a postgraduate pharmacy qualification. You will be a GPhC registered pharmacist with excellent clinical, organisational and communication skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team. You will also participate in the Raigmore weekend and out of hours' service and public holiday rotas.
