Band 7 Paediatric Dietitian (Advanced Dietetic Practitioner) – South-East Scotland Paediatric Ketogenic Diet Service

The Royal Hospital for Children & Young People (RHCYP) is a tertiary paediatric teaching hospital supporting patients and families in Edinburgh and across South-East Scotland.  The dietetic team supports all clinical specialities, including local regional and national services.


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team, leading dietetic care to our regional paediatric ketogenic diet service. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a highly specialised and well-regarded dietetic service for infants, children and young people with epilepsy and other conditions requiring ketogenic diet treatment.  You will join a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team, and alongside a supportive ketogenic dietetic team, comprising 1.2 WTE Band 7 and 0.4 WTE Band 6.
The post holder will be expected to perform as a senior member of the RHCYP dietetic service, supporting all operational and strategic aims. You will be expected to supervise and support mor

e junior members of staff, participate in student training, and provide support to other clinical specialties as required. 
We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD. You would be welcomed by a friendly and supportive team of 40 dietitians and support staff.
