This is a full time permanent post.
The hours are worked Monday – Friday (worked flexibly over core office hours)
Responsible for co-ordinating, supporting, managing and delivering on a portfolio of Research and Innovation studies and activities supported by the Glasgow Clinical Research Facility, ensuring that these projects are developed and coordinated from the initial enquiry through all the approval processes, including internal Glasgow Clinical Research Facility approvals, to launch the projects and subsequent monitoring of process.
Provide clinical investigators with expert information, practical assistance, and the resources they require for clinical research. These requirements include: resourcing, and staffing assistance, preparation of trial paperwork and assistance with applications for the necessary approvals required for each study. Provides on-going management of recruitment and follow-up of patients, oversight of quality assurance, oversight of data collection and management and assistance with study closure and archiving of materials.
- A degree in one of the following disciplines is essential for this post (Biological Science; Pharmacy; Social Science/Nursing or other relevant discipline).
- Further education relating to health and Social Science, Biological science, Research, Clinical trials or Project Management and a MSc or PhD would be highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE.
- Experience of working in a clinical research environment highly desirable.
- Experience of working with clinical research staff including clinicians, external organisations including regulatory bodies and external sponsors.
