An opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to join our team within the Medical Illustration Service at NHS Lanarkshire.
You will join a team of 16 staff who are committed to providing a comprehensive Medical Photography/ Ophthalmic photography and Graphic Design Service, pan Lanarkshire. You will be based at the Hairmyres Hospital and will undertake ophthalmic imaging duties. You will assist in the provision of high-quality diagnostic imaging for the Ophthalmology Services across the organisation and be required to work at more than one hospital site, based on the service needs.
Applicants should possess an HND in Photography. Consideration will also be given to applicants who have an equivalent level media / imaging qualification and proven relevant experience working within the healthcare setting. It’s adventitious for applicants to be experienced in OCT image capture and Fundus Photography, as well as being familiar with digital imaging workflows and using image management systems. The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5hrs flexible shift pattern working, evening and weekend, 5 days over 7.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
