​​​​​​​ The hours are worked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8.45am - 5.00pm.  (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

The Diagnostics Directorate is looking for a fulltime permanent Secretary for the Clyde Sector, Imaging Department. The post will be based within Royal Alexandra Hospital (Paisley). Occasional Travel across Clyde Sector may be required as well as GG&C as per service needs. This post is essential to providing admin/secretarial support to all within Clyde Sector Imaging. 
The successful candidate must be educated to HNC/SVQ level III in Secretarial/Business Administration, or have relevant equivalent experience. The post holder must demonstrate the following skills / abilities:
 Essential 
•    • The post holder will be expected to comply with the NHS Scotland Mandatory Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers. 
•    • Proficient in the use of software systems, including Microsoft Office packages i.e. Word, excel, outlook. 
•    • Good organisational and communication skills, including the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to tight timescales. 
•    • Flexible approach and an understanding of the principles of good teamwork 
•    • Ability to work proactively on own initiative, flexibly and independently. 
•    • Advanced touch copy and audio-typing skills 

Desirable 
•    • Basic knowledge and understanding of medical terminology is required at entry which will develop through training & experience to a specialist level. 
•    • Knowledge and understanding of working procedures and regulations related to Imaging acquired through experience
