JOB TITLE: Locum GP
REPORTS TO: Partners
HOURS: 8 Sessions
SALARY: Attractive and Negotiable - depending upon experience
Due to a pending clinical procedure for one of our senior partners, West End Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic and caring doctor to join our well-established and friendly training practice as a locum for approximately 5 weeks, from the 11th September 2023. We would be happy to explore a range of sessions for the successful candidate.
The Practice is set in the beautiful grounds of St Marys Cathedral in the West End of Edinburgh. We have an excellent team of clinical and administration staff, where we support circa 11,500 patients.
We are only a 10-minute walk from Haymarket train station, and only 5 minutes from the local and national bus network.
We are a training practice with 4 GP partners, 5 salaried GP’s and have an established, talented team of full and part-time administrative staff who all work well together and undertake a variety of roles, including reception, care navigation, workflow optimisation and various other administrative duties. In addition, we have 2 prescribing Practice Nurses, a team of clinical pharmacists, and close working relationships with our District Nurse and Health Visitor Colleagues. What is the role?
As above, a fully, or newly qualified GP.
Currently, the practice works a Duty Doctor system, where each doctor is on emergency call at least 2 sessions per week, pro-rata.
Like most of Lothian the Practice works a Vision Patient Management System.
