ACUTE RECEIVING UNIT
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Staff Nurses to join our dynamic team within the Acute Receiving Unit at the impressive Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus. The Acute Receiving Unit is comprised of seven separate units;
Immediate Assessment Unit (IAU) receives GP referred patients from all over the West of Scotland with a great variety of symptoms and needs and provides triage and first assessment,
ARU pod 1 specialises in Respiratory conditions,
ARU pod 2 specialises in Diabetes/ Endocrinology and General Medicine,
ARU pods 3 and 4 specialise in Medicine for the Elderly,
ARU pod 5 specialises in Gastroenterology/ Acute Medicine,
Ward 6A is our short stay ward which specialises in Medicine and Emergency Head-injury care.
The post holder will be expected to ensure safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience. You will be able to demonstrate high professional standards of care and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting. You will work to maintain high clinical standards in this fast-paced environment. The Acute Receiving Unit is supported by its own dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator, and we are passionate about supporting the wellbeing and development of our team.
