NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a full time 8 month, fixed term post and the hours are worked Monday to Friday
As a key member of the Diagnostics Directorate finance team, you will assist the Senior Management Accountant and the Management Accountants in the provision of a professional financial management service to the managers and departments that we support.
You will be competent in the management, processing and analysis of complex financial information, financial reporting and the budgetary control process.
Ideally degree / HNC qualified in accountancy (or with equivalent work experience) you will have excellent IT skills, good communication skills and the ability to use initiative and deliver to strict timelines while dealing diplomatically with staff and stakeholders at all levels (internal and external to the organization).
Internal candidates looking to be seconded into this post must have the prior agreement of their line manager.
