An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Health Improvement Department of NHS Lanarkshire.
We are looking for a full time Health Improvement Senior to lead, coordinate and support programmes to assist the Blood Borne Virus & Sexual Health (BBV&SH) Promotion team to deliver against the requirements of the key relevant frameworks, strategies and resources.
Main areas of work:
Design, deliver and evaluate of a range of training sessions.
Support a range of partners to deliver BBV&SH actions which contribute to local and national action plans.
Support the delivery of work programmes associated with the Lanarkshire BBV Managed Care Network and Lanarkshire Sexual Health Strategy Group.
Manage the Lanarkshire Condom Distribution Scheme (CDS) and provide line management support to the Project Co-ordinator – Condom Distribution Scheme.
Promote and evaluate the Lanarkshire Sexual Health website and the C Card and Young People’s Sexual Health Services Apps.
Support the development and delivery of a team communications plan across various media channels to promote the CDS and the wider work of the team including work challenging stigma.
Lead the development and implementation of Health Improvement programmes in line with NHS Lanarkshire strategies and local health needs
Knowledge, Training and /or Experience required:
The post holder must be qualified to degree standard.
The post holder should have or be working towards a postgraduate qualification or have the equivalent knowledge and experience that demonstrates an understanding of health improvement/ health promotion/ public health at postgraduate level.
Experience of Health Promotion / Public Health / Health Improvement Partnership working and negotiation skills.
Contribution to policy implementation.
Budget monitoring.
Proven track record in the delivery of Health Improvement/Public Health projects.
Demonstrate knowledge, understanding and application of appropriate public health competencies http://www.fphm.org.uk/ February 2010, or be on or working towards the UKPHR Practitioner Registration.
Knowledge of Local and National Policies, and Strategies that affect the health of the population.
A full UK Driving Licence.
