An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic progressive and innovative Mental Health Nurse to work within the Forensic Community Mental Health Team.
You must be an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with experience of working with forensic patients and their carers in a variety of mental health settings. Experience of working within the community and lone working would be an advantage.
You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent relevant experience with evidence of continuous professional development. You should have an excellent knowledge of mental health assessment and legislation and be experienced and knowledgeable in completing structure professional judgment risk assessment tools. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in court liaison and MAPPA meetings. You will be the clinical expert providing assessment, care and treatment of mental health problems to complex forensic patients in their own homes and clinics.
It is essential that you have good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, organisation and time management skills. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
