The shift pattern for this position is Day shift /occasional night shift . 12 Hour shifts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Orthopaedics at QEUH for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse .We are looking for a caring, hardworking individual to join our team and provide a high standard of care to patients within the Unit.

The Orthopaedic Unit in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital provides care and treatment for a wide range of specialist surgeries for fractures/injuries and elective orthopaedic surgery for the South of Glasgow.

The unit comprises of 112 orthopaedic beds and this post is based in a 28 bedded trauma receiving ward .The post holder requires excellent organisational and clinical skills. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care is delivered to patients. The band 6 charge nurse has a key role supporting the Senior Charge Nurse in team leadership and staff development.

It is essential you are a Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration.

Applicants should have appropriate post registration experience at Band 5 or above and have a genuine interest in developing their nursing leadership skills within Orthopaedics.
Hours are 37.5 hours per week full time, working a 12 hour shift pattern which will be predominately day shifts including weekend and public holiday cover.​​​​​​​
