An excellent opportunity has become available to join the Education Team in our Children & Young People’s Community Nursing Service. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and self motivated nurse who is committed to the provision of safe and effective child centred care.

Under the supervision of the Paediatric Education Facilitator, you will co-ordinate and support the planning, delivery and assessment of competency based training for Education, Social Work and 3rd sector staff to ensure that  children with exceptional health care needs are included and have access to school and other community services.

You will be involved in supporting educational provision and developing and reviewing education resources within the CYPCNS, and will support staff to make sure that identified learning needs are addressed.

You must be a first level registered nurse with experience of working with children and young people with complex health care needs, and experience in teaching and mentoring students, or involvement in staff development. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a multiagency team.

You will be given appropriate training required to undertake this role and benefit from working alongside a team of knowledgeable, experienced staff. Opportunities for ongoing professional development are available.
