Job Advert
This is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support patients with urgent on-the-day care needs in the local community. This ANP role will support the General Practitioners and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team based in Methilhaven Surgery to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care to patients in a primary care setting.
The ANP will work towards a commitment to the Four Pillars of Advanced Practice, enabling the development of skills in education, mentoring, audit, leadership, and service improvement as a core member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Previous Masters Level study with attainment of the Advanced Clinical Assessment and Non-Medical (V300) qualifications are desirable, though applicants without these qualifications will be considered. You will therefore be required to either;
• Be working in an Advanced Practice role and have undertaken MSC (level 11) Advance Practice studies to PG Dip level or equivalent.
• Be an experienced nurse, educated to degree level, and willing to complete your (level 11) Advance Practice studies to PG Dip level
You will be fully supported and provided with a clinical supervisor, study time and funding with a planned completion date within 24 months. This is dependent on your previous academic study as there may be an opportunity to RPL previous academic credits towards the PG Dip in Advanced Practice. This will be done under Annex 21 (see attached for more info). Please note that there will be no financial detriment associated with this.
ANPs require excellent communication skills and will be able to work as a member of the wider Health and Social Care Partnership Team. ANPs should have the ability to work autonomously, utilising your own initiative, clinical judgement and decision making, supporting the wider nursing workforce within the GP practices. Your career development towards the PG Dip will be supported through a period of induction and training over a 12-24 month period, dependent on previous training/experience. As service delivery dictates, the ANP may be required to work in other GP practices across Fife.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
