This is a full time permanent post and the hours are worked 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the Freedom of Information function at NHSGGC Board HQ and will appeal to FOI practitioners seeking to progress their career in one of Scotland’s largest public sector authorities.

As the Freedom of Information Manager, the post holder will be part of the Senior Management Team within Corporate Services. They will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated officers with a sizeable and very diverse caseload of information requests across Acute, Corporate and Partnership settings. As a result, they will work very closely with senior colleagues throughout the Board to ensure that these are responded to within statutory timescales. The post holder will all also act as the primary contact between NHSGCC and the Scottish Information Commissioner.

Expert knowledge of FOI legislation and team management experience are essential, as are excellent communication and organisational skills. Being able to work under pressure is critical in the delivery of this role, as is the ability to develop and maintain effective, positive relationships with a range of senior officers throughout NHSGGC.
