Diploma in Dental Hygiene/Therapy or Degree in Oral Health Sciences.
(The above qualifications have equivalence)
Mandatory registration with General Dental Council.
Description of Role
Provide advice and management of dental treatment for defined groups of patients e.g. multiple complex special needs adults/children, psychiatric, geriatric, psycho geriatric, medically compromised.
Mentor training of undergraduate Dental Therapy/ Hygiene students within the PDS setting.
Participation in the National Dental Inspection Programme as in line with scope of practice.
Training will be provided in Inhalation Sedation.
