We are looking for a Specialist Physiotherapist who would like to be part of an integrated multi professional Adult Learning Disability team within Argyll and Bute. The specialist Physiotherapist will provide a distinct service to adults with a Learning Disability across all of Argyll and Bute
You must be a registered with the HCPC, extensive knowledge at learning disability nursing and community working.
The post will provide clinical leadership, with an appropriate caseload providing expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of this specific individual group. Your main priorities will be to ensure 24-hour postural care, management of long term conditions and health promotion as well as be available to give advice and offer expert opinion to parents, family members, carers, care providers, local authorities and other health care professionals.
You will also be expected to liaise closely with physiotherapy colleagues within primary care, hospital and community health services to offer professional support and develop pathways which will enable individuals with a learning disability, access their services.
We require someone who can work in isolation and autonomously with a person centred approach, excellent people skills, and is experienced in working positively with other agencies, care providers, and health workers.
Clinical supervision will be provided by the Professional Lead and Physiotherapy Lead with opportunities for peer supervision/CPD with other physiotherapists within Argyll and Bute
