This is a permanent 22.5 hour post and the hours are worked Day working and also oncall weekday and weekends

Applications are invited for the post of Paediatric Oncology Outreach Nurse Specialist (POONS) Haematology based at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.

The post involves working autonomously and as part on the multidisciplinary team to provide direct nursing care to the children with haematology/ oncology conditions/ palliative care in their own home within the West of Scotland. On call requirement within the post.

The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow, is a world leader in the provision of child health services and is the largest paediatric teaching hospital in Scotland. It is a tertiary referral centre for children from the West of Scotland and, in some sub-specialties, for the whole of Scotland. It houses a Paediatric Haematology/Oncology ward.

The successful applicant will join the existing team of a Haematology/Oncology Consultants in Malignant Paediatric Haematology/Oncology and POONs.

Paediatric Oncology/Haematology and chemotherapy competent are essential for the post.
