The shift pattern for this position is 12 hour shifts days and nights.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our General Surgery team in QEUH.

You will be working as a Band 5 staff nurse providing essential nursing care to our patients with general surgical conditions in one of our 28 bedded wards. You will utilise a broad range of knowledge and skills in the assessment, planning and implementation of care for this patient group. Including pre and post-operative care and early rehabilitation.

A fundamental part of the role is to communicate with the Multidisciplinary team in enhancing the patient journey.

You will be responsible to the Senior Charge Nurse and should be able to work on your own merit supported by the wider nursing team.

You should hold current registration with the NMC and be educated to degree level or equivalent.
Experience in Surgical nursing is preferred but not essential.

You will be working a fully rotational shift pattern of 12 hour days and nights.
This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland’s PVG scheme.
