The shift pattern for this position is 5/7, Monday – Sunday 0900hrs – 1700hrs.

An opportunity has arisen for two Health Care Support Workers to join the Enhanced Drug Treatment Service incorporating City Centre Outreach. The service provides Heroin Assisted Treatment to individuals who have complex needs and have a history of limited engagement with traditional addiction services. Whilst the City Centre Outreach element of the role offers an assertive outreach model of contact and engagement with high risk individuals within Glasgow City Centre. The post holder will have the opportunity to work across both areas of the service.
We are seeking individuals keen to learn new skills with previous experience of working within an addiction setting, services that provide support to people with addiction issues or have lived experienced and are at an advanced stage of their own recovery. The role will involve working within a challenging but rewarding environment with people who have complex health and social needs and have had difficulty engaging with their previous or current addiction support service. The post holder will work closely within a Multidisciplinary Team consisting of medical, pharmacy, nursing and administrative staff but will also be a supportive resource for individuals who attend the service. The service operates 0900hrs-1700hrs, 365 days per year (including Public Holidays)
