Staff Nurse – Ward B7, Clinical Haematology
The Haemato-oncology ward provides a comprehensive service to patients throughout their transplant journey. Staff participate in rotation across sites. To work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group. Competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group. You will assess patient needs, plan/implement and evaluate a programme of care which is evidence based utilising all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers and significant others. Develop and maintain a high level of accuracy and precision in venous access skills, including cannulation, venepuncture, iv injection and advanced techniques with all types of indwelling intravenous catheters. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have a minimum of 1 year post registration experience. The shift patter for this post is as per rota.
