NHS Tayside has an exciting opportunity within our reenergised Medicine for the Elderly service for a clinical educator. We are looking for a registered nurse to join our team ensuring the maintenance of a positive practice learning environment and to coordinate education and training to our colleagues.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in delivering care to older people and shares our dedication, passion and vision in developing a workforce who consistently strive to deliver a high standard of safe person centred care to the older people of NHS Tayside.
We need your experience and expertise to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education and training, and to facilitate learning activities throughout Medicine for the Elderly. You will provide leadership and support in relation to education in practice whilst implementing evidence-based standards, guidelines and policies.
As part of your role you will also be responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for all patients that are cared for within Medicine for the Elderly.
Complimenting the existing workforce, you will work closely and collaboratively with our passionate and dedicated Senior Charge Nurses and Senior Nurse to respond to the training needs of the staff group. You will be supported in your own professional development in this role by the NHS Tayside Educators network and other colleagues across the organisation who contribute to the learning and development of staff.
You must be registered on either Part 1 or 12 of the UK NMC Register.
Hours are 37.5 per week Fixed Term for 12 months
