Job Title: NHS Lothian, Digital & IT, System Administrator (TrakCare Support)

Vacancy Details:
Grade: Band 5
Contract: Permanent contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week with flexibility between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Location: Based in Edinburgh although travel through NHS Lothian board area may be required. Some home working can be accommodated.
Salary: £30,229 - £37,664 per annum. Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.

Key requirements:
This is an exciting and excellent opportunity to work within Digital & IT as part of a team focusing on improving the use of TrakCare (Patient Management System) throughout NHS Lothian.
TrakCare is used extensively for administrative and clinical functions covering Inpatients, Outpatients, Emergency, Maternity, Allied Health Professionals, Radiology, Theatres and Mental Health across all hospitals and community settings (excluding General Practice).
Working closely with other teams within NHS Lothian, you will play a key part in the team delivering support to NHS Staff using the TrakCare Patient Management System. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to this key role. You will communicate with staff from all departments and posts within the organisation.
Although training will be provided, experience in some of the following would be very advantageous: Outpatient Waiting List management, Appointment management, Clinical System management, TrakCare.

Key Responsibilities
• Work as part of the Digital and IT Team to ensure a consistent, high-quality service is delivered.
• Provide assistance and guidance to all staff across NHS Lothian.
• Work with colleagues to problem solve software issues with TrakCare.
• Assist in the development of training material.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of IT processes, procedures, and knowledgebase.

About You
• Strong customer service skills, excellent organisational skills, with the ability work in a wide range of issues.
• An understanding of Patient Management Systems
• Experience beneficial in using Microsoft products
• Be positive, empathetic, enthusiastic, and confident to represent the Digital and IT department and NHS Lothian Values.
