NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is day and possible nightshift once qualified.
Perform a full range of diagnostic investigations in respiratory function and sleep disordered breathing within Greater Glasgow & Clyde Physiology Services.
BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience at post training
- Theoretical knowledge specialty(Post grad Diploma level) or equivalent experience
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and access
- Working knowledge of relevant national standards, professional guidelines and local policies and procedures,
- Voluntary Registered practitioner (essential)
‘Trainees’ will be expected to work towards professional certification through the Association of Respiratory Technology & Physiology (ARTP) practitioner examination.
On successful completion of ARTP practitioners’ exam, trainees will be expected to join a voluntary register for clinical physiologists – either through the RCCP or AHCS.
