A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional, forward thinking, Risk Manager to work within the NHS Golden Jubilee Clinical Risk and Governance department.  As the team develops in this innovative organisation, there is opportunity to be a key individual in shaping and influencing the direction of the service.

The Risk Manager post is located within the Safe element of the Clinical Governance Department (CGD). The post holder will be a specialist in risk management with experience in managing risk; adverse events; feedback; complaints; and claims.  They will manage a team responsible for implementing the Clinical Governance Strategy and the corresponding work programmes.

The post holder will make a substantial contribution to this agenda by generating improvements in the safety of clinical practice and services. The post holder will provide support to all staff, ensuring that managers and clinicians are enabled to adopt a systematic approach to the analysis, evaluation and minimisation of risk.

The post holder will work with the Head of Clinical Risk and Governance, Deputy Head of Clinical Risk and Governance, and other CGD support staff to make a substantial contribution to ensuring that clinical care and services are high quality, safe, effective and person centred, by implementing key policies, guidelines and strategies; teaching, facilitating, coaching, mentoring, and promoting the use of improvement science and evidence based practice.
