This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
To provide a comprehensive medical secretarial and administrative service to the Clinical Director, clinicians and other members of the multidisciplinary professional teams, contributing to the everyday running of the Directorate and other staff as appropriate. Ensure smooth running of all inpatient and outpatient services offered by Medicine of the Elderly and Stroke Services.
To supervise and manage Medical Secretaries and other A&C staff, and coordinate outpatient clinics run by the department. Provide support to junior staff with any queries pertaining to the secretarial role and drawing on audio-typing experience.
Responsible for daily organisation of all grades of medical staff ensuring all clinical areas are safely covered ensuring rota compliance, supervision, teaching, etc.
