The Practitioner for Health and Care Staffing Programme Workforce Planning role has lead responsibility for the implementation of the organisation’s strategic approach to workforce planning in relation to the Health and Care Staffing Programme.
The post holder will interpret national policy & professional standards & apply these to inform & lead the development of local strategies & policy to ensure a robust & systematic approach to workforce planning provision for clinical staff across the NHS Board to support the implementation of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Legislation.
Educated to Masters Level or equivalent relevant qualifications, you will have extensive experience in one of the Allied Health Professions, Nursing or Midwifery including significant experience operating at a senior level in a complex, people-based organisation. You will also hold membership of a relevant professional body.
The post holder will be responsible to the Associate Director Care Quality and Professional Development for guidance and line management, and will set own annual objectives in cognisance of policy drivers & organisational priorities and will have significant freedom & autonomy to progress towards their annual achievement.
To be successful in the role, as well as demonstrating our values, you will also be:
• First level Registration with the HCPC or NMC
• Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience
• Highly developed professional knowledge acquired through post registration masters level qualification or equivalent
• Senior level professional experience
• History of achievement in areas of quality, practice development, research or policy
• IT skills, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to manage change. Flexibility and ability to work independently
• Facilitation, problem solving, networking and project management skills
• Hold a driving licence
